What California is like
California is really two big regions with a lot of country between them. Southern California is Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and San Diego; Northern California is the San Francisco Bay Area and, inland, Sacramento and the Central Valley. Los Angeles to San Francisco is around six hours by road.
Single men are the largest group of our California members, with plenty of couples not far behind – and California has more single women among our members than any other state, most of them in and around Los Angeles.

The far south, close to the Mexican border.

The state capital, with members spread through the valley towns.
Getting around: I-5 runs the length of the state and US-101 follows the coast. Around Los Angeles, distance is measured in traffic rather than miles, so it makes sense to search within your own region first.
Meeting up: in Los Angeles a meet twenty miles away can take an hour at the wrong time of day, so pick somewhere easy for both of you and avoid rush hour for a first drink. Single women here get a lot of attention – a clear profile saying who you want to hear from saves everyone time.
