What Georgia is like

Georgia revolves around Atlanta, whose metro area spreads across many counties and holds more than half the state’s people. Beyond it are the old cities of Savannah on the coast and Augusta on the South Carolina line, Macon and Columbus in the middle and west, and the North Georgia mountains rising towards Tennessee.

Couples and single men are close in number among our Georgia members, with a fair share of single women – and Atlanta is where most of them are.

Getting around: I-75 and I-85 run through the middle of Atlanta, I-20 crosses it east to west towards Augusta, I-16 links Macon with Savannah, and I-95 follows the coast. Atlanta traffic means a short distance can still be a long drive.

Meeting up: in metro Atlanta, agree on a side of town – crossing the city at rush hour for a first drink is nobody’s idea of fun. Chattanooga, just over the line, puts North Georgia within reach of Tennessee members too.
