What Leicestershire is like
Leicestershire is shaped around the city of Leicester, which sits almost exactly in the middle. Loughborough, a university town, lies to the north; Coalville and the old mining towns are in the north-west; Hinckley looks towards Coventry; Melton Mowbray is to the east; and Market Harborough sits on the Northamptonshire border.
